This is also the area of The Universal Studio’s Porta Ventura Theme Park considered to be one of the best Mediterranean Theme Parks.

Salou is the centre of the Costa Dorada and one of the most popular holiday hot spots in Spain.  If you want all night dancing you have it there together with a wide range of bars, discos and restaurants.

Sitges has a preserved its fishing village and cultural heritage. The old town is based on a small headland with the walls of a medieval fortress and various museums surrounding an old church. The town has some impressive architecture with narrow sloping streets, the sea front is lined with palms and the promenade has a Californian feel to it .

Barcelona, Spain’s second largest city should not be missed by anyone who visits the area. It is the Capital of Catalonia which offers a wealth of history, art and culture. Barcelona is a very stylish city with an international feel and relaxed Spanish atmosphere. Not to be missed is a stroll along Las Ramblas which is Barcelona’s most famous street which links the Port with the Plaza de Catalunya. The Gothic part of the city is a maze or streets  and squares containing many cafes, bars and restaurants. There is an excellent shopping area with first class shops,  department stores an designer boutiques

Reus Airport Information

Reus Airport is located 3 km southeast of the city and 13 km from the Tarragona city centre.

Air traffic is characterised by a large number of international charter  flights and low cost airlines with cheap airfares (although the figures for scheduled and non-scheduled flights are  balancing out each year) and by its seasonal nature between May and October. The  European Union passengers who use charter flights are mostly from the United Kingdom. Scheduled flights are primarily to London-Stansted, London-Luton,  Frankfurt, Liverpool and Dublin.

Thanks to the "low cost" airlines, Reus Airport has grown considerably in the  last two years, with traffic levels reaching 1,305,894 passengers, 25,699 operations and 11 tonnes of freight in 2007.

In order to adapt Reus Airport to future air traffic demands, Aena is currently constructing a new terminal building for check-in, between the  arrivals building and the current terminal building, which is being adapted for  use as a departures terminal.
